| After finally getting my Z, I thought I was worthy enough to finally post on here :) I've been in love with Z's since I...uhh.. first saw one. Never thought I'd be able to get one (poor high school student), but now with a full time job 40 hours a week at a restaurant (rich high school student) I got my dream car! (poor high school student).... I searched around for about 6 months and then found not EXACTLY what I was looking for, but I like this more. Found a 1994 Black Emerald Z, but it was 2+2. After seeing it in person, I liked the body styling more, the backseat, and wasn't in the market for a TT (too expensive insurance wise, and I'd get in too much trouble with it most likely) so I took it out for awhile, had a mechanic look at it - and 9,000 later it was mine! 9,000 may sound a little pricey for an N/A but the thing was in almost PERFECT condition. Shifter bushings were bad (later found out they were completely gone)... needed a new battery.. .dent about the size of a dime on the right side of the car near the wheel well. The cloth interior (preferable in AZ) was in perfect condition, has a cd player (wooo!), and had just under 68,000 miles. Not bad on a 94. The asking price was 10500 so I got a good deal I think. It was a one owner vehicle - a real nice lady who just doesn't drive it anymore. Completely dealer maintained...I got lucky. Plus I love the color. Argh - that reminds me - i need to go get my registration :( Now, i'm even poorer and in more love with my Z. Keep in mind, I'm 18, and I've only ever driven... a minivan (YEAH!), the dodge neon I learned on at driving school, my dad's assorted SUV's and trucks, and a few friend's trucks. I HAD to have a car. No more of that being 12 feet off the ground nonsense. After lots of research and looking around, I saved a few grand for upgrades and such and got - Ebay -ADR Version II 18x9 wheels
 Bridgestone Potenza RE750 265/35-18 tires
 Eibach Prokit springs
 KYB Shocks
I sure hope these wheels fit. I heard the 265/35-18 tires would be fine, even on the front with the 18X9... but the offset I wasn't sure of. +35? Anyone know if that will work? I searched for hours and couldn't find a good answer. I concluded it would, but.. truth will tell soon. Specialty Z-Labree full cat-back X-pipe w/ small resonators
 JWT pop charger
 Subframe spacers
 300 degree camber kit
 300 degree brake kit
 Unorthodox UD pulley
First off, I have to say Greg is THE MAN. He cut me a great deal, was very helpful, and was just a pleasure to deal with. I almost went with a B&B quad oval exhaust... but logic and reason kicked in. 300 dollars+ more for a exhaust that may be a little deeper... nah. Plus I heard great things about the Labree in general. All of this should be here within the next few days, then I'm going to Pitstop performance to have it all put in.. i think... I'm not too experienced with cars so I'm not sure if i should dive in and risk installing anything :) Short throw shifter from woody-Another great guy to deal with. He had the shifter to me in 2 days. It took me some time to get in (there was one particular nut I - or 6 other people for that matter - could NOT get off from the top of the car. It was the one under the circular disk that holds the shifter down...). Now it's in and I love it. Couldn't feel better.
Annnd I'm going to CZP in a few days to pick up some sway bars (they're located close to me). Yet another fantastic Z person/store to deal with. Not sure what I'm going to attempt to install myself. The shifter was simple besides that one nut! ARGH! My hands are still cut up from trying to get em inside the hole with a wrench. In a few days I'm going to order an ECU from Z1... and maybe some J-spec lights, which should look really nice on the black emerald. After that I should be done for awhile... maybe. Performance wise, that's where I'll top off probably. My Z is quick to me, I love driving it, and I'll love it even more with a few more horses under the hood.
Anyways, that was pretty long. Now that you all know my life story... I've been looking around on the forums for at least 8 months and figured it was time to intruduce myself and the Z :) I'll have pictures up here one of these days.
